Why Would Anyone Ever Want to Change the Outline Color
Well here are a few good reasons…
If done right, changing the color of the outlines in Procreate can enhance the overall look of your artwork. If you’ve never thought of this, here are some reasons why you might want to give it a shot. And btw, it’s really easy to do.
Reasons to Change Outline Color
Contrast and Visibility: Changing the color of your outlines can create a stronger contrast against the fill colors. This makes the outlines more visible, improving the clarity of your artwork.
Aesthetic Appeal: Different outline colors can create various moods. For instance, using a soft pastel color can give your drawing a gentle feel, while a bold color can add vibrancy and energy.
Highlighting Features: By adjusting outline colors, you can emphasize specific elements of your design. This can guide the viewer’s eye to important parts of your artwork.
Creating Depth: Using varied outline colors can add depth to your piece. Darker outlines can make elements appear closer, while lighter colors can give a sense of distance.
Stylistic Choices: Different styles may call for unique outline colors. For example, a cartoonish style often uses bold, black outlines, whereas watercolor styles may benefit from softer, colored outlines.
