Why an Apple Pencil
Hi guys,
Now, I can see the pitchforks coming out on this one but, why an Apple Pencil? I think I was ok with my initial Apple Pencil purchase because, I mean… I just got a new iPad and there was celebratory spending to be had. How happy was I? Happy enough to buy an Apple Pencil, Apple Case and a Magic Keyboard… So why am I complaining now?
Cause happy was yesterday, and today I’m spending an unexpected $129 for a lost Apple Pencil. So I was thinking, since I bought my Apple Pencil in 2020… shouldn’t that give the competition enough time to become a serious competitor to apple pencil?
What I discovered
As you would expect, Amazon has a variety of choices. But I’m not sure how good a $24, Apple Pencil alternative would work on Procreate.… But I’m curious, if anything it’s not a bad idea having a spare in the bag.
Does anyone remember the Wacom Pens? Just saying…
Why do we need it
It’s no secret that Apple and Procreate have been collaborating for years. In fact, Procreate’s commitment to the apple pencil goes as far as dedicating a tab in brush studio. Maybe that’s why tilt sensitivity, palm rejection, pressure sensitivity just to name a few, can brilliantly mimic a natural drawing experience. Maybe staying with Apple is best? I kinda think so.
What’s the big takeaway
As for now, Apple’s stuff works exceptionally well. As for the price? At this point, Apple can take my money!
But look for a deal, try Amazon, Google it, or checkout the refurbished section at Apple’s website. As for me, I googled it and found the Apple Pencil on sale. Woo hoo! Things were good again!
I found my original Apple Pencil a week later, go figure… it looks like I have a spare for the bag!?
Thanks for reading, gotta go… bye.
